Beacon Printing was formed as a partnership by Thomas J. Parr and Robert F. Ryan in
October of,1971 in the basement of Mr. Ryan's home.
After 6 months in that location the business was moved to 938 Monmouth Street in Newport, Kentucky. During the next 19 years the property was expanded to include 940 Monmouth Street. Mr. Ryan retired from the partnership in 1988 at which time Mr. Parr incorporated the business as Beacon Printing, Inc., and became its president. In September of 1990 a block of property was purchased in Newport's West End Industrial Park where a building was designed and constructed to house the expanding business. The Monmouth Street property is now the location of the new Newport City Building. |
